Resources for Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence

Intimate partner violence is physical violence, sexual violence, stalking, or psychological harm by a current or former partner or spouse. This kind of violence can occur among heterosexual or same-sex couples and does not require sexual intimacy.

The Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence
The Maryland State Domestic Violence Coalition (MNADV) brings together victim service providers, allied professionals, and concerned individuals for the common purpose of reducing intimate partner and family violence and its harmful effects on our citizens. The Network accomplishes this goal by providing education, training, resources, and advocacy to advance victim safety and abuser accountability.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline
The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides 24/7/365 access to highly-trained advocates who are willing to talk confidentially with anyone experiencing domestic violence, seeking resources or information, or questioning unhealthy aspects of their relationship. Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association: Well-Being Committee
This is a committee of the Maryland Dental Hygienists’ Association and its purpose is to provide confidential well-being assistance to individuals who are having difficulty dealing with a physical, mental or emotional issue, or substance abuse.
